Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication is a security mechanism that adds an extra layer of protection to the login process in TaticView.
Instead of relying solely on a password, which can be discovered through repeated attempts, stolen, or leaked.
2FA requires a second verification factor—a temporary code generated by an authenticator app.
This approach combines something the user knows (their password) with something they possess (the code generated in the app), making it much more difficult for attackers to access the account even if they obtain the user’s password.
Although the use of 2FA is optional in TaticView, its adoption is strongly recommended for all users.
This is because cyberattacks are becoming increasingly sophisticated, and passwords alone are no longer sufficient to ensure data security.
Enabling 2FA drastically reduces the risk of unauthorized access and protects sensitive information stored in TaticView, contributing to overall trust in the application and helping users avoid potential losses.
Even though it adds an extra step to the login process, the security benefits fully justify this practice.
Activating 2FA
To activate 2FA authentication you need to follow 3 steps
- Enable Two-factor authentication: activation the check box
- Enrollment: Scan the newly created QR code with some 2FA Authenticator app.
- Confirming: Inform the code generated by app
Pressing Save button activates the 2FA requirement for your account
